02:44 am - Nightshades?

i have some confusion on nightshades, because the lists on different sites don't match up. some say blueberries, others say peppers (which would be sad, considering the latter helps with my arthritis).

any clues as to what to look for in a particular food, so's i'm not bound by eternal wonder? thanks in advance for your 2 cents.

Blueberries aren't nightshades. But whether you avoid nightshades as part of the anti-inflammatory diet is very much up to you - Some doctors don't recommend avoiding them. I considered doing the nightshade avoidance diet for my fibromyalgia but through my research found out that it is only effective if you completely avoid nightshades in all forms, which includes all forms of tomato and even paprika - Which seems to hard to me to be feasible. This may not be true if you're just cutting down on inflammatory foods, though - Cutting down or cutting out most nightshades might still be helpful. I don't see much correlation between nightshade consumption and pain levels, honestly.

yeah, i've noticed some correlation for me with nightshades and pain, although not as much as when i cut wheat out. both seem to help to varying degrees.
